Though Pau Rosa is not as dark as many of the rosewoods, it is nonetheless a distinctive and beautiful lumber. It should not be confused with Tuliptree, which is sometimes known as Tulipwood.
Pau Rosa is limited in dimensions but it is a very strong wood and takes on a marble-like polish.
