Canary wood has heartwood that is yellow and orange, sometimes rich red streaks, while the sapwood is yellowish in color.  The texture and grain varies from straight to irregular. 

Canary wood is hard, heavy and strong.  Canary Wood is easy to work with hand or power tools. It sands, glues and takes finish well.
